Tree transplantation instead of chainsaw

Back in the winter of last year, we started the expansion of our logistics centre.

Not only was the adjacent area levelled to make room for the logistics hall extension, but a compensatory area also had to be found for three trees - we replanted them.

This was made possible by a modern circular spade machine from the company Opitz. The large cedars, which had occupied their space for 20 years, were pulled out of the ground, roots and all, and transported to the company's own pond.

Precisely fitting furrows were dug in the meadow in advance to ensure an exact transplantation of the trees.

Now the three cedars have enough space beside our pond and can continue to grow and produce oxygen that is essential for our survival.

Fun Fact: For every extension or new construction at HEINRICH KIPP WERK, cedars are planted. Cedars are evergreen conifers that belong to the pine tree family. They have a high water tolerance, and even Noah's Ark is said to have been made of cedar wood.
