Clamp Lever

For more than 60 years, HEINRICH KIPP WERK has been synonymous with the clamping lever, which is also known as a rocker lever. KIPP clamping levers are reliable, stable and versatile in use.
They are primarily used in mechanical engineering for clamping equipment or machinery parts, but also as operating elements in plant construction. In the rehab, medical and furniture industries, for example, they are often used for clamping different components.

Clamping lever versions

The selection of clamping levers at KIPP is just as versatile as the applications themselves. They comprise a handle in which a threaded insert (internal or external thread) is fitted.
Depending on how they are used, clamping levers are available with various thread diameters and grip sizes. The key materials used are steel, stainless steel, die-cast zinc, plastic as well as fibreglass reinforced plastic injection molding. Many clamping lever models are available in different colours as standard, such as black, red, orange or metallic silver.

How the clamping lever works

The function of a clamping lever is simple: when the grip is pulled up it disconnects from the internal toothing and can be freely rotated. When the grip is released it automatically engages again and can be manually tightened or loosened. Clamping levers are mainly fitted to machines for clamping or positioning applications.
Other applications include fixture construction e.g. to quickly lock mounting plates, or for toolmaking where KIPP clamping levers are used to clamp tool components. They are also useful for fitting profile assemblies together.
Other KIPP clamping devices include toggle clamps and tension levers.
