  • Cooperation between the KIPP Group and the Technical College in Horb

The KIPP Group and Horb Technical College have agreed to cooperate in a way that will be of special benefit to students.

The participants were delighted when Enrico Niedzwetzki and Henning Jakobeit, both department heads of the Technical College in Horb, as well as Karl-Josef Rebmann, member of the management board and responsible for human resources and organisation at the KIPP Group, signed the cooperation agreement at Heinrich Kipp Werk in Holzhausen.

HEINRICH KIPP WERK is one of a total of six companies in the KIPP Group, and with over 400 employees also the largest. Another - KIPP Car Comfort Systems - is located just a few kilometres away in Sulz-Kastell. The aim of the joint cooperation is to give the students an insight into the future world of employment and to familiarise them with products, manufacturing processes and the culture and management of a company.

Enrico Niedzwetzki is looking forward to the future possibilities of "even better practical teaching" and appreciates the fact that the KIPP company representatives take the opportunity, several times a year, to be present at the Technical College in Horb for this purpose. As well as practical training elements around the topics of "standard elements" and "automotive", additional soft skills will be taught that relate to personnel and organisational management.

Henning Jakobeit looks forward to the teaching units, which will take place at KIPP itself - in the group-wide Christian Kipp Academy. "General managerial topics such as successfully structuring selection processes and job interviews or formulating references in a legally correct manner represent a special added value - for our future technicians for instance," says Jakobeit.

The KIPP Group will also facilitate company tours around the factories as part of the lessons. Students will "experience everyday working life at first hand", promises Rebmann. A special experience, Rebmann continues, will certainly be the new logistics centre, which is bound to "amaze everyone". Rebmann also assures that the KIPP Group will be happy to organise sports lessons at the Technical College, as the company was recently named a sponsor of young Olympic athletes and thus of top-class sports in Baden-Württemberg. "German champions and Olympic participants will shape the sports lessons in their own disciplines - this will ensure enthusiasm," agreed Niedzwetzki and Jakobeit. Niedzwetzki, Jakobeit and Rebmann are certain that the Technical College in Horb and the KIPP Group will act in harmony in the future.
