Shaft collars withstand light lateral forces and thereby prevent shafts wandering out of the guide. Due to the high retention forces, elements can be clamped reliably in the middle of shafts. By an even distribution of the clamping forces damages are precluded.
The KIPP shaft collars are clamped by a screw onto the shaft. The use of the two-piece collar offers the advantage that it can be positioned at any location on the shaft when the shaft has already been permanently mounted. For reliable clamping, the shaft tolerance should be within h11.
The HEINRICH KIPP WERK supplies the shaft collars in steel and stainless steel. Other dimensions for shafts are also available on request.
