100 YEARS TRUST IN KIPP

HEINRICH KIPP WERK and its success story

100 years ago, Christian Kipp laid the foundations for todays company by manufacturing spätzle (Swabian noodle) machines. Since then, KIPP has developed into a manufacturer of mechanical elements: Clamping technology, Standard elements and Operating parts. Today, KIPP products set standards in machine construction and industry. They can be found used in many applications.

The milestones of the past 100 years

1919 - It all started with a spätzle machine

Company founder, Christian Kipp established his mechanical workshop in 1919 and from 1922 developed many domestic appliances. His three-legged noodle machine was very popular and one can still find these being used today. At KIPP we are proud of the fact that these Spätzle presses have been performing reliably for many decades.

1952 - The clamping lever came on the market

After the 2nd World War the son of Christian Kipp, Heinrich Kipp Senior, took charge of the company and developed the KIPP clamping lever. A completely new product, manufactured on an industrial scale for the first time. By using the clamping lever, workpieces could be easily clamped and released - with fine adjustment.

1973 - Construction of new company buildings

This year marked another important turning point in the KIPP history. The company moved into a new building in which production, administration and assembly were located under one roof. The new building was deliberately planned on a large scale in order to enable further growth.

1986 - Plastic products with metallic toothing

In the mid-1980's, plastic material found its way into the production process. However, back then the new materials did not yet meet the high KIPP quality standards. Therefore, products were equipped with metallic toothing - making them more stable and durable. The range was now increased to include such products as star grips, knobs and wing screws. The combination of turned parts and plastic injection moulding is still a core competence of KIPP today.

2001 - Fully automated logistics centre goes into operation

As capacities in the old company building became insufficient, a new building with an integrated logistics centre was built. The fully automated high-bay warehouse was the first in the entire industry and provided KIPP with a significant improvement in customer orientation through rapid delivery of the goods.

2019 - Digitalisation and international growth

Today HEINRICH KIPP WERK is represented by more than 400 employees at its central production site and 9 sales companies in Europe and North America. The company relies on digitalisation for processes and production. An extension building has just been completed - this guarantees room for future projects and stable growth.

KIPP has influenced the market in the past 100 years with groundbreaking products. We are a reliable quality partner to industry and are therefore constantly adding innovative elements to our range. Our newest developments include:

NATURE grip made from bio-plastic, MEDI grip with antibacterial silver particles and FEATURE grip with integrated sensors.
